Caring for your jewellery

From time to time your silver jewellery may become tarnished. To prevent this please store in a bag out of sunlight. Spray perfumes etc. before putting on your jewellery. Remove jewellery before showering, bathing or swimming. Avoid getting wooden jewellery wet. To prevent scratching, please keep jewellery separated in bags or boxes.

Silver jewellery: please use a silver polishing cloth and rub the silver parts gently. Alternatively on silver only jewellery, use a soft toothbrush and mild detergent to clean, rinse thoroughly after. Silver dip may be used on silver only jewellery, do not use where stones, pearls or wooden sections are part of the design. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Oxidised silver: should not need polishing. Do not use silver polishing cloth or dips, instead merely buff with a soft cloth to restore shine. If however the oxidisation wears, get in touch and I would be happy to re-oxidise the piece for you.

Wooden jewellery/sections: Do not immerse wood in water or silver dip. Buff or rub gently with a soft cloth if needed. All wood pieces have been sealed with Renaissance wax to protect them.
