We are Great Northern Events NW Ltd, a not for profit organisation, whose aims are to champion designer-makers, provide opportunities to showcase and sell their work, and help build a market for craft through our award-winning Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fairs.
The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (GNCCF) and GNCCFonline are opportunitues to buy direct from top designer-makers and craft artists. All exhibitors are hand-picked by an independent panel of craft experts, to give you the best in covetable and beautiful design and craftsmanship.
The shows feature jewellery, textile accessories, print, furniture, lighting, ceramics, glass, wood, metal and more. GNCCF and GNCCFonline are opportunities to buy direct from the makers - and to meet and chat to them at our "live" fairs. Many of our exhibiting makers also work to commission, should you be looking for something special or bespoke.

The Saltaire Virtual Makers Fair returns this spring with a fresh new take on our popular online event, taking place at saltaireinspired.org.uk and across Saltaire Inspired’s Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Once again, we are bringing the art directly to you, as online audiences will have the chance to browse and buy from a different curated selection of UK designer-makers each week by visiting the Virtual Makers Fair gallery on our website, and engaging in NEW FOR 2021 specially commissioned Instagram Live and Facebook happenings.
Discover inspiring art to brighten up your home, or treat someone special to a thoughtful handmade gift, all the while supporting creative UK small businesses from your sofa. Explore skilled woodwork, contemporary jewellery, original printmaking, unique ceramics, and so much more.
To make the most of your experience, don’t forget to check out our exciting programme of online interviews, artist demonstrations, studio tours and more, to be announced here and and social media.
I'm so pleased to announce that I'll be taking part in this event in March. It's my first time, so a little daunting to be among makers who I've admired for many years. It's a great event which will be hosted on Instagram, Facebook and Zoom.
Live interviews on Instagram, live and recorded demonstrations, Live Craft Conversations, live making workshops, Craft Cinema, children’s activities and storytelling, live yoga, qigong, breathwork and more.
I'll be creating a new body of work especially for the event so follow me on Instagram and Facebook for more info and sneaky peeks over the next few weeks.

More details to follow, but my work will be on sale in a pop up shop in Saltaire for a couple of weeks and hopefully I’ll be there too so, pop in and say hello! The Pop-Up will be open to the public from 11am-3pm on Thursday-Sunday each week, with different makers popping up over the few weeks leading up to Christmas.
The fab team at Crafted by Hand have now launched this as an online event. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel Crafted By Hand's physical Winter show, instead we have invited our Winter makers to take part in our virtual online Show!!
This Winter over the weekend 6th-8th November, we will be providing opportunities to buy directly from some of the makers via our Instagram Stories.
